Accidents

April 5

Officers were dispatched to Brockington Road at Austin Bay in reference to an accident when Melinda White of Sherwood said she was at a stop sign on Austin Bay. She said she was proceeded into traffic and struck another vehicle driven by Janice Sanchez of North Little Rock. White’s vehicle had $800 of damage while Sanchez’s vehicle had $600 of damage. White was found at fault for the accident and was issued a citation for careless and prohibited driving.

April 8

Officers were dispatched to the area of the Kiehl Overpass on Warden Road in reference to a two-vehicle accident. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Brad Ecklund of Sherwood who said that he was merging from Kiehl Avenue onto Warden and did not realize that another vehicle driven by Carl Brown of Jacksonville had stopped, resulting in Eckland’s vehicle striking Brown’s vehicle from behind. Both vehicles sustained $200 of damage. Eckland was found at fault for the accident for following too close.

Kricket Martin of Sherwood said a 2013 Transit vehicle was left at Martin Pool on Indianhead Drive and had $1,500 of damage from someone who struck it.

Thefts

April 4

Rose Kody of Sherwood said when he came out of his house this morning on Landers Road that he noticed $700 worth of tools missing from his toolbox, including an impact wrench and charger.

Officers were dispatched to North Point Collision, 5500 Starita Drive, in reference to a report of theft where Noah Beaudin of Sherwood and North Point customer service representative Robert Page stated that Beaudin arrived to pick up his 2013 Subaru and discovered someone had stolen his $300 Kenwood 600-watt amplifier and $250 Kicker 10-inch Subwoofer.

Tonya Brewer, 42, listed as homeless, was arrested on charges of residential burglary (felony) and theft of property when Charles Parliment and Edwin Sublette, 833 Trammel Road, said she entered into the home without permission and stole a television set.

Arrests

April 4

Robert Harvey, 22, of North Little Rock was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a drug paraphernalia, no seat belt and no proof of insurance after police were dispatched to 8900 Brockington Road, Lot 93, in reference to a report of a prowler.

April 7

Gale Queen, 31, of Jacksonville was arrested on a charge of shoplifting after police were dispatched to the Wal-Mart Supercenter on Arkansas 107 in reference to a shoplifter in custody.
