Sylvan Hills Titans win regionals, headed to World Series

The Sylvan Hills Titans are headed to the Cal Ripken World Series after winning the Southwest Regional Championship in Hugo, Okla.

The 12 year old team is from the Sylvan Hills-Sherwood Optimist Club program and beat Benton in the championship game.

The Titans will now to travel to Alachua, Fla., for the World Series that starts next Wednesday.

A fundraiser will be held this Saturday at the Sherwood Sports Complex It starts at 4:30 p.m. and will include a hot dog supper along with a silent auction and a bake sale among other things. Team members are: Cole Bland, Brice Cagle, Wil Cartwright, Aidan Hughes, Truitt Luth, Drew Martin, Landon McConnell, David Newsom, Bryce Overman, Nick Reeves, Stone Stanley and Connor Young.
