Sharks roll by outmanned Waves

The Sherwood Sharks had no problem flexing their muscle against the out-manned Lakewood Waves in a dual match Saturday.

The Sharks won by a 1,198-124 count.

Leading the way with multiple gold level victories were:

Michael Potts, boys 6-under, won the freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly and in boys 7-8 Dillon Wood won the freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly.

Madelynn Morrow, girls 6-under, won the freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly while Alyssa Riley, girls 7-8, won freestyle and butterfly and IM.

In 9-10, Joseph Potts won freestyle, backstroke, butterfly and individual medley and Anna Jaworski won freestyle, backstroke, butterfly and IM.

In 11-12, Tristen Bowen won the freestyle and butterfly and was second in backstroke and breaststroke. Ian Heye, boys 11-12, won backstroke and breaststroke and IM and was second freestyle.

For girls, Cross Engel won the backstroke and breaststroke and she was also second in freestyle and IM. Brianna Hanley, won butterfly and IM and was second in the backstroke.

Josh Hale, boys 13-14, won freestyle and breaststroke and was second in backstroke and IM and Jayson Simmons won backstroke and butterfly and IM.

Austin Clay, boys 15-18, won the backstroke and IM and was second butterfly. Quanderrius Doss won the butterfly and freestyle, second IM

In girls 13-14, Delaney Haralson won freestyle, breaststroke, butterfly and IM and Maddie Ragan won backstroke and was second in freestyle.

Kimmie Croson, girls 15-18, won freestyle and breaststroke and IM, second butterfly

Other top finishers:

Boys 7-8

Blane Godbee, won IM and was second in freestyle, and backstroke; Joshua Robinson, third in freestyle; Brock Godbee, second in the backstroke and IM

G6-under

Lorien McCullough, second in freestyle and backstroke

Girls 7-8

Courtlyn Jackson, won backstroke. Pierson Richart won breaststroke and was second in backstroke and IM and was third freestyle. Morgan Mitchell was in second freestyle. Amelia Allgood, third backstroke and butterfly and Carly Morrow, second breaststroke and butterfly. Michele Potts placed third in breaststroke.

Boys 9-10

Vincent Jaworski placed second freestyle and butterfly, and third backstroke and IM.

Nicholas Heye won breaststroke, was second, backstroke and IM, and third in the freestyle.

Mikey Hathaway was third in butterfly.

Boys 11-12

Ian Heye, boys 11-12 won backstroke and breaststroke and IM and second, freestyle.

Girls 9-10

Adriene Robinson, second, freestyle and breaststroke,

Alaya Smith won the breaststroke and was second in butterfly and third freestyle.

Maycee Broadway was second in backstroke

Girls 11-12

Camryn Jenkins won freestyle and was second in the butterfly and third in backstroke. Shea Copeland was second in breaststroke. Michele Potts, third, breaststroke

B13-14

Gabriel Kerr, boys 13-14, was second in breaststroke. Mason Graves was second in the freestyle and Kel Gist was third in breaststroke.

Boys 15-18

D Lo Chism won the breaststroke and was second in freestyle and third in IM.

Girls 13-14

Megan Richardson was second in breaststroke and Jillian Barber, second in butterfly.

Girls 15-18

Daniela Filippi won butterfly and Leila Kerr, second in breaststroke.
