The 13th annual Super Bowl Party Fundraiser to benefit the Arkansas Rollin’ Razorbacks wheelchair basketball team has been set to be held held Sunday, Feb. 3 at Sherwood Forest.
This is the Razorback’s signature silent auction event. All funds raised benefit one of the best resources for disabled citizens in the state. This basketball team gives people with disabilities the chance to compete in team athletics. The Arkansas Rollin’ Razorbacks organization changes the lives of disabled people, and our goal is to show persons with disabilities that they can achieve both on and off the basketball court.
“Our team members are active, productive members of the community and are present many areas of the state. In addition to competing in tournaments nationally, we promote awareness of opportunities for disabled athletes, and support a junior team for children and adolescents with disabilities,” according to event organizer Loren Bartole.
The Arkansas Rollin’ Razorbacks adult team has participated in the National Wheelchair Basketball Association for the past 26 years. During that time, the program has won five National Championships and participated in the Final Four tournament for 14 out of the last 19 years. “We could not have had this degree of success without the help of our sponsors and supporters. We are a nonprofit organization that depends entirely on donations from Arkansas citizens and local businesses.
