Dec. 9

Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Hatcher Road and Babblet Lane in reference to a minor, non-injury accident where Teri Griffith of Sherwood said she was traveling westbound on Hatcher, intending to turn left. She said she about turn directly into the path of another vehicle. She tried to avoid a collision but could not and struck the front bumper of anther vehicle driven by Shawn Rosbrough of Sherwood. A total of $100 of damage was reported to Griffith’s vehicle. Griffith was determined to be at fault for the accident for careless/prohibited driving but was not cited.

Dec. 10

Police responded to a three-car accident that took place on West Kiehl Avenue at Arkansas 107 where Amber Osborne of Sherwood said while she was stopped she was struck from behind by another vehicle driven by Jimmy Mosier of Sherwood. The impact resulted in Osborne’s car striking the trailer hitch of a third vehicle driven by Darrell Duran of Sherwood. Mosier was determined to be at fault for failing to maintain control of a vehicle.

Shane Timmons, 37, of Sherwood was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia (three counts), no insurance and improper display of tags. The arrest came after police observed a vehicle headed north on Arkansas 107 which had its license plate improperly displayed.

Dec. 11

Canisha Boutte, 21, of Sherwood was arrested on a charge of public intoxication after police received a report of a suspicious person at Shallow Well Apartments on Lantrip Road.

Christopher Hatfield, 37, of Sherwood was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, improper display and obstructed view after police could not see the license plate of his vehicle as he was driving southbound on Arkansas 107.
