Accidents

Nov. 22

Officers made contact with Dana Bowers of Sherwood in the police lobby where he explained he needed to file an accident report. Bowers explained that on the previous night his son, Gabe, was involved in an accident in front of 2221 N. Claremont St. in Sherwood. Gabe told his father that he was traveling on North Claremont and was attempted to go around fire trucks and an ambulance. Tim Harrison of Sherwood was backing out of the driveway at 2221 N. Claremont to follow his relative in the ambulance. Harrison backed into the left rear of Gabe’s 2004 Dodge SQ1, resulting in $800 of damage.

Kyle Shimek of North Little Rock came into the police lobby to tell officers he was at the Sonic on Arkansas 107 at West Kiehl Avenue when a maroon vehicle backed into his Toyota Camry, causing it $500 of damage. The unknown vehicle left the scene.

Nov. 23

Officers were dispatched to Zaxby’s on Brookswood Avenue where police made contact with John Aronowitz of Pine Bluff who stated he began to turn his Toyota DCP toward Zaxby’s but realized he could not make the turn safely. His left front tire had crossed the yellow center lane by about a foot and it was stopped facing south. Kyle Smith of Sherwood said he was traveling northbound on Brookswood when the left front bumper of the other vehicle collided with the left quarter panel of his Chevrolet 2K3. The Chevy received $600 of damage while the Toyota got $400 of damage. No injuries were reported and due to conflicting stories police were unable to determine fault.

Officers were dispatched to Shipley’s Donuts in reference to a two-vehicle private property accident without injuries. David Pedigo of North Little Rock said the right rear bumper of his 2011 Honda Civic struck the right rear bumper of a black Chevy Malibu owned by Phillip Crutchfield of North Little Rock as he backed out of his parking space. Pedigo’s vehicle sustained $500 of damage while Crutchfield’s vehicle had $600 of damage.

Arrests

Nov. 23

Police were on routine patrol in the area of 3610 E. Maryland Ave. at North Quarter Apartments when they observed a silver Dodge four-door car with Arkansas plates parked in the area with its lights on and engine running. The license returned as stolen from the Little Rock Police Department. Police made contact with Norvell Golden Jr., 32, of West Helena. He provided his license but no registration. Golden told police that he could not afford the registration so his step brother stole one for him. He was placed under arrested on a charge of theft by receiving.

Frankie Fidler, 33 of Lawton, Okla., was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, driving on a suspended license and failure to register his vehicle after police observed a black truck stopped in the roadway on Christensen Road and the driver’s door was opened.

Maricela Fason, 46, of Conway was arrested on a charge of shoplifting after police were dispatched to Kohl’s Department Store, 7600 Warden Road, in reference to a shoplifter in custody.
