Brad Trupin, 28, of Jacksonville, was arrested on charges of DWI drugs, left of center and driving with a suspended license after police were dispatched to the area of Arkansas 107 and Stonehenge Road in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Dispatchers advised that the vehicle had left the roadway and was in a ditch. While en route, dispatchers also advised that the driver was leaving the scene on foot and appeared to be intoxicated. The driver was described as a white male wearing a red hoodie and blue jeans and was in the area of Arkansas 107 and Hatcher Road.
Police made contact with Trupin and he appeared unsteady on his feet.
Michael Eller, 28, of North Little Rock was arrested on a charge of shoplifting at the Wal-Mart Supercenter on Arkansas 107 after police were dispatched there in reference to a shoplifter in custody. Offices said he used a razor blade to cut open a package and conceal a $15 flash drive.
Torris Early, 33, of North Little Rock was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine or cocaine, F Felony) and possession of drug paraphernalia after police observed that the vehicle he was driving on Warden Road had no license plate.
Harvey Townsend, 55, of North Little Rock was arrested on a charge of shoplifting after police were dispatched to the Wal-Mart Supercenter in reference to a shoplifter. Wal-Mart personnel said Townsend tried leaving the store without paying for a grocery cart full of merchandise valued at $388.66.
Officers were dispatched to the police department lobby in reference to a two-vehicle private property accident that took place at North Quarter Apartments. Marie Baird of Sherwood said that a brown Chevy Malibu struck her Ford Explorer while it was parked in front of her apartment building.
Robbie Johnson of North Little Rock said he scraped the left rear quarter panel of her vehicle as he backed out of a parking space in front of Building P.
Johnson’s vehicle sustained $600 of damage while Baird’s vehicle had $200 of damage.
Officers were dispatched to the area of the Wal-Mart Supercenter on Arkansas 107 where an accident occurred involving Seth Johnson of Sherwood and Bridgette O’Connell of Austin.
O’Connell said she was stopped, attempting to exit the Supercenter onto Arkansas 107 when her 1999 Mercury Villager was struck from behind by Johnson’s Pontiac Sunfire. The Villager sustained $750 of damage while the Sunfire had $1,500 of damage. Johonson said he tried to stop his vehicle but he slid on the wet pavement due to the rain.
