Oct. 4

Police were dispatched to the area of Maelstrom and Serenade streets in reference to a single-vehicle accident where Maria Spoon of North Little Rock said she was turning left onto Maelstrom, lost control of her Chevrolet and struck a brick mailbox. The estimated damage is $800.

Thefts

Oct. 4

Officers were told by Virginia Kozig of Sherwood that she was contacted by her bank about an attempt to charge her credit card in Stockton, Calif. She said she did not authorize any charges. She told police a man may have taken a picture of her card with his cell phone while she was trying to use it at the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market.

Oct. 5

Joyce Alston of Sherwood said she had arrived home from shopping at the Wal-Mart Supercenter but could not locate her purse. She told police she checked out of Isle Five. The purse could not be located which had $150 in cash, credit cards and other documents with her personal information.

Nathan Nicols of Sherwood said he was visiting a friend on Saratoga Court when someone took his $120 Mongoose bicycle that was parked in the driveway. He said he saw nothing suspicious before the incident occurred.

Arrests

Oct. 4

Taylor Ferguson, 18, of Sherwood was arrested on a charge of third-degree domestic battery after police responded to 8900 Brockington Road Lot 59 in reference to a disturbance.

Sarah Thomas, 28, of Little Rock was arrested on charges of shoplifting and possession of a controlled substance after police were dispatched to Kohl’s Department Store in reference to a shoplifting incident.
