Sept. 9

Scottie Kelley of Ward came into the police department lobby to tell officers he was overcharged for his new membership card at Sam’s Club. He was told his account had an authorized charge of $800.

Marion McAdoo of Sherwood she noticed a few nights earlier that a few unauthorized checks had been written on her account. She later checked her vehicle and found checks missing. Both checks were written at Wendy’s in Maumelle with the checks being $18.92 and $26.

Arrests

Sept. 9

Nicole Hubbert, 25, of Sherwood was arrested on a charge of third-degree domestic battery after police were dispatched to her home at 3522 E. Kiehl Ave., Apt. 2205, in reference to a physical altercation that already occurred.

William Rogers, 27, of Sherwood was arrested on charges of DWI Second Offense, possession of a controlled substance (D Felony), possession of a controlled substance (D Felony), careless/prohibited driving, no proof of insurance and no motorcycle endorsement. The arrest came after police were dispatched to the area of Landers Road and the Brookswood Flyover in reference to an accident with injury.

Derek Jones, 19, of Jacksonville was arrested on charges of possession of controlled substance (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia after police observed a vehicle on Warden Road with an improper display of its license plate.

Sept. 10

Joseph Sanders, 30, of Sherwood was arrested on a charge of obstructing government operations after police were called to a traffic stop in the Kohl’s parking lot.

Estrada Santiago, 43, of Sherwood was arrested on charges of DWI/ (drugs), fleeing, no driver’s license, no insurance, no seat belt, prohibited driving, and disregarding a stop sign. The arrest came after police observed a vehicle run a stop sign at Calloway Avenue crossing Brockington Road headed west.

Chelsea Speaks of Sherwood said her ex-boyfriend was at her door and was refusing to leave. She told police she has told her ex-boyfriend on numerous occasions to not come to her residence. Police arrested Jeffrey Campell, 32, of Sherwood on a charge of criminal trespass.

Peter L. Tibbett, 41, of Sherwood was arrested on a charge of public intoxication after police were dispatched to 714 Indian Bay in reference to a verbal disturbance.

Jason Freeman, listed as homeless in the police report, was arrested on a charge of public intoxication after police were dispatched to the area of Gap Meadows and Deer Meadows in reference to a male subject sleeping on a walking trail in a public park.

Accidents

Sept. 10

Police were dispatched to the area of Brockington Road and Sherer Avenue at the scene of a two-vehicle accident. Willie Jordan of Sherwood said he was at a complete stop southbound on Brockington behind another vehicle driven by Imogene Wood of Jacksonville. Jordan said he decided to merge into the turn lane and struck Wood’s vehicle. Both vehicles sustained $500 of damage. Jordan was found at fault for the accident for following too closely and was issued a citation.

Amanda Thomas of Austin said she was inside a friend’s house on Woodruff Creek Drive when she heard a loud noise outside. Thomas said she later was getting into her Toyota Camry and observed the entire driver side paneling had been damaged, resulting in an $800 loss.
