Linda Jackson of Sherwood told police she was traveling southbound on Arkansas 107 at Kiehl Avenue when she saw a Nissan stopped, hit her brakes but started to slide on the wet pavement and struck the rear end of the vehicle driven by Ronnie Webb Jr. of Rodgers. Jackson’s Pontiac Grand Prix sustained $500 of damage.
Carrie Bennett of Sherwood said that she and Amber Bennett were sitting in their vehicle about to go into the Subway Restaurant on Kiehl Avenue when their vehicle was struck from behind by another vehicle driven by Juan Reyes of Houston, Texas.
Officers were dispatched to the Indianhead Shopping Center on East Kiehl Avenue in reference to a private property accident involving a Honda van and a blue four-passenger dour car.
Police observed a blue Chevrolet Lumina with a silver Honda Odyssey right behind it. Police made contact with Clair Cleveland of Sherwood who told police she was not hurt. Officers then made contact with Amber Treloar of Jacksonville, the driver of the Lumina, who also said she wasn’t hurt.
Treloar said she was attempting to pull out onto East Kiehl but she was having vehicle problems. She said she attempted to reverse her vehicle so she could park it. Treloar said she looked behind and nobody was there. When she attempted to back up, Cleveland’s vehicle struck the Lumina in the rear. Treloar was issued a citation for driving without a license.
Jonathan Barrington, 29, and Chelsey Copas, 19, both of Sherwood, were arrested on charges of third-degree domestic battery after police responded to a call to their home of 1 Shelby Road, Apt. 301, in reference to people screaming in the apartment.
Sanci Richardson, 42, of Sherwood, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of a Schedule 4 Substance, fleeing, DWI, refusing to submit, careless/prohibited driving and driving left of center. The arrest came after police saw someone drive left of center on Arkansas 107 just south of Oakbrooke Drive.
David Ockerman, 46, of Sherwood was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to a report of a suspicious person with possible drugs at the Royal Oaks Trailer Park.
John Toland, 26, of North Little Rock was arrested on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct after police were dispatched to the Wal-Mart Supercenter on Arkansas 107 in reference to a man who was behaving erratically and causing a scene at the store.
Rickey Roberts, 28, of Cabot was arrested on charges of reckless operation and fleeing after police saw a black Mustang burning out and traveling over the Kiehl Avenue Overpass at a high rate of speed.
