Arrests

July 6

London Danner Jr., 22, of Little Rock on charges of fleeing, resisting arrest, criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and second-degree assault after police were dispatched to the area of Landers Road and Carnegie Drive in reference to a suspicious male walking between businesses in the industrial park area.

Kirk Thompson, 45, of Sherwood was arrested on charges of DWI, speeding, careless/prohibited driving, improper lane change and failure to use a turn signal after police observed someone driving a motorcycle at a high rate of speed on Arkansas 107 near East Kiehl Avenue.

Eric Edwards, 51, of North Little Rock was arrested on charges of possession of a firearm by certain persons and possession of a controlled substance after police observed someone driving a black GMC pickup with no tail lights on.

July 11

Larry Lee Moore, 48, of Sherwood was arrested on a charge of DWI after police observed a Toyota truck parked at the Shell gas station located at the corner of Arkansas 107 and Jacksonville Cutoff Road when the business was closed.

July 12

William Baker, 30, of was arrested on charge of public intoxication after police were dispatched to T Ricks service station on Arkansas 107 in reference to an intoxicated person sitting in a Toyota Camry.

Accidents

July 5

Officers were dispatched to Kohl’s Department Store in reference to a two-vehicle accident. Sheree Moore of Sherwood said she was driving on Highway 176-Y waiting to turn onto Warden Road when another vehicle driven by Kathleen Ashkew of Little Rock stopped suddenly, resulting in Moore’s Ford Mustang rear-ending Askew’s Dodge Durango. Both vehicles sustained about $250 in damage. Moore was found at fault for the accident and was issued a citation for following too closely.

July 6

Bobby Young of Alexander said he was trying to make a right turn onto Arkansas 107 from Brockington Road at the yield sign when the front bumper of his truck collided with the rear of the mobility carrier driven by Richard Cox of Hazen. Young was found at fault for careless driving. Young’s Ford truck sustained $400 of damage.

Christina West of North Little Rock said she was making a left hand turn from Country Club Road onto Wildwood Avenue when the front left bumper of her vehicle collided collided with the Toyota driven by William Rogers of Sherwood. West’s 1993 Oldsmobile sustained $300 of damage and Rogers’ vehicle sustained $400 of damage. West was found at fault for the accident for failure to yield on a left turn.
