Arrests

July 9

Amber Bright, 29, of Beebe was arrested on charges of theft by receiving (felony), possession of methamphetamine with the purpose to deliver (felony), possession of meth drug paraphernalia, tampering with physical evidence, fleeing, non-financial identity fraud, and possession of deliberately altered driver’s license. During the same incident, Christopher A. Marts, 30, of North Little Rock was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine with the purpose to deliver (felony), possession of meth drug paraphernalia, and possession of deliberately altered driver’s license. The arrests took place after police observed a red Ford pickup truck in the parking lot of T-Ricks at the corner of Arkansas 107 and Jacksonville Cato Road. The vehicle was parked across two parking spaces and occupied by two people.

July 10

Stephen Burrow, 25, of Sherwood was arrested on charges of DWI, careless driving, left of center and no proof of insurance after police observed him driving at a high rate of speed on Country Club Road near Claremont Avenue.

Tracey Simmons, 42, of North Little Rock was arrested on charges of DWI and refusal to submit to a field sobriety test after police observed her vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Arkansas 107 near Miller Point Subdivision.

Roxanne Litchholt, 33, of Sherwood was arrested on charges of DWI, DWI refusal, careless driving and no turn signal after police observed her vehicle motionless at a stop sign for several minutes along the 400 block of May Street.

Accidents

July 10

Officers were dispatched to Dollar General, 1751 E. Kiehl Ave., in reference to a private property accident. UPon arrival, Helen Baker of Marianna was driving a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero, pulling into a parking spot when the driver’s side door of a green van opened and the front of her vehicle struck the door of the van, which was operated by Phyllis Branscum of Jacksonville. Branscum’s van sustained $500 of damage while Baker’s vehicle had $300 of damage. Baker was found to be at fault for the accident but was not cited.

July 11

Officers were dispatched to 1203 Dyson Road in reference to an accident. Upon arrival, Jennifer Phillips of North Little Rock said she was visiting a friend and was notified by Enam Kassess of Sherwood that her vehicle sustained damage to the left rear bumper. Kassess said she was backing out of her driveway at 1202 Dyson when the left rear bumper collided with the driver’s side door of Phillips’ vehicle. Phillips’ vehicle sustained $500 in damage while Kassess’ Honda had $250 of damage. Kassess was found at fault for careless driving.
