June 11

Jaqueline Tanner, 61, of Sherwood was arrested on charges of DWI and refusal to take a field sobriety test after police were dispatched to the Sylvan Hills Middle School in reference to a woman passed out in a silver car.

Jordan Harrelson, 27, of Sherwood was arrested on charges of burning without a permit, refusal to submit to arrest, public intoxication and disorderly conduct after police were dispatched to a field behind Powhattan Apartments in reference to a fire in the wood line.

June 12

Brittany Conyer, 27, of White Hall was arrested on charges of DWI, refusal to submit to a field sobriety test and a tail light violation after police observed an SUV traveling northbound on Arkansas 107 with a rear tail light out.

June 15

Timothy Simpson, 24, of Cabot was arrested on a charge of DWI after police observed someone driving a sports utility vehicle northbound on Brockington Road and stopped it because the motorist was operating at a high rate of speed.

June 16

Dean Brzeski, 47, of DeLight was arrested on a charge of public intoxication after police were dispatched to the Wal-Mart Supercenter in reference to a reckless driver. Dispatchers told police that someone driving an older van had parked incorrectly.

Accidents

June 11

Police were dispatched to Summer Shade and King Pine streets in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, police made contact with Janet Miles, of Sherwood, the driver of a 2001 Ford, and Zachary Addie, of Sherwood, the driver of a 2001 Honda. Miles said when she began backing onto Summer Shade from a driveway across the street from Addie’s home, Addie’s vehicle was not parked on the street. Miles said she continued to back and did not notice that Addie parked his vehicle along the curb in front of his house. Miles said the rear bumper of her vehicle collided with the driver’s side fender and bumper of Addie’s vehicle which sustained $800 of damage. Miles was found to be at fault due to inattentive driving.

June 16

Officers were dispatched to the Kohl’s Department Store parking lot in reference to a traffic accident that took place on Brookswood Drive. Upon arrival, police made contact with Joshua Jamison of Sherwood and Rebecca Cox of Marion. No injuries were reported. Jamison said both motorists were traveling southbound on Brookswood about to merge onto Warden Road. He said he looked to see if a car was coming southbound on Warden and was not sure if Cox would stop at the Brookswood/Warden Road sign. Jamison said he hit the rear bumper of Cox’s vehicle. Both vehicles sustained about $350 worth of damage. Jamison was found at fault for the accident and was issued a citation for following too close.
