Sherwood police beat



May 10

Deborah Miller, 59, of Sherwood was arrested on charges of left of center, improper lane change, failure to use a turn signal, DWI and refusal to submit to a field sobriety test after police observed her vehicle driving from side to side on Kiehl Avenue.

May 11

Darion Vinson, 36, of Pineville, La., was arrested on charges of DWI, refusal to submit to a field sobriety test and driving with a suspended license. The arrest came after police were dispatched to Tailgaters Bar & Grill in reference to a physical altercation between a couple.

Michael Henson, 28, of Sherwood was arrested on two counts each of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after police were dispatched to his home at 181 Meadowick Drive in reference to a disturbance.


May 10

James Mitchell of Sherwood said he was driving southbound on Brookswood Road near the entrance to the Links Apartments when the vehicle in front of him suddenly stopped and he struck it. The driver of the Chevy truck, Randy Benson, of Mabelvale, reported his vehicle had $500 of damage while Mitchell’s vehicle had $300 of damage.

May 11

Larisa Ravnik of Sherwood said she was waiting for the light to turn green in the area of the Links Apartments near Brookswood Drive when she bumped into the rear of another vehicle driven by Yolanda Sweatt of Jacksonville. Police said Ravnik was at fault for following too close.

Jordan Reed of Cabot said he was stopped in the outside lane of Kiehl Avenue at Arkansas 107 when he took his foot off the brake and struck the vehicle in front of him driven by Courtney Bowie of Sherwood. Both vehicles sustained about $350 of damage.

May 17

Tyler Helton of Sherwood said he was traveling westbound on Koehler Avenue and when he came around a sharp turn, his vehicle began to slide. When he exited his truck he had struck a sprinkler head and water was coming out of it at 701 Koehler, owned by Shenill Stipsky. Both the truck and sprinkler system sustained $500 in damages, according to the report.
