April 23

Acosta Trejo of Sherwood said she was traveling westbound in the outside lane of Kiehl Avenue approaching Lois Street. She said she was looking for a laundromat and her vehicle drifted into the inside lane, resulting in her driver’s side mirror striking the right side of a Centerpoint Energy truck which was also headed westbound. The truck was driven by Cedrick Jones of Sherwood. Both vehicles sustained about $250 worth of damage. Trejo was found at fault in the accident and was issued a citation for improper lane change and no driver’s license.

Joelle Pankey of Sherwood said she backed her vehicle out of a parking spot in front of Shelby Drive at Tree Hill Street. She put her vehicle into drive, hit her accelerator, resulting in the pedal getting stuck. Her vehicle went onto the grass and hit a railroad tie that surrounded a flower bed in front of a clubhouse building and continued into the building about 25 feet. Pankey’s 2007 Chevrolet ABS sustained $4,000 of damage while the building had $15,0000 of damage. There were no injuries.

Pankey was issued a citation for careless/prohibited driving.

Kieth Montgomery of Sherwood said that on the night of April 22 he was at the Wal-Mart Supercenter on Arkansas 107 and his Ford F-150 received a dent and scratch in the left rear quarterpanel, totaling $750 in damage. He said the incident took place at about 8:30 p.m.

Arrests

April 23

Jazmyn Amos, 25, of Sherwood was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and improper display after police saw her vehicle turn left off of Indianhead Drive onto East Kiehl and it did not appear to have a license plate.

April 24

Martin Gomez, 48, of Lonoke was arrested on a charge of obstructing government operations after police made a traffic stop on a vehicle because it was speeding on Indianhead Drive near the Phillips 66 gas station.

April 25

Charles Parliment, 66, of Sherwood was arrested on a charge of third-degree domestic battery after police were dispatched to 821 Trammel Road in reference to a female and male trying to get into a homeowner’s house. During the same incident, Tonya Brewer, 41, of North Little Rock was arrested on charges of third-degree domestic battery, refusal to submit to arrest and disorderly conduct.

Darrius Davis, 19, of Little Rock was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and was cited for no signal, improper turn, improper lane change and left of center. During the same incident, Larry Wilbourne, 19, of Little Rock was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. The arrests took place after police observed a vehicle go left of center on Kiehl Avenue near the Valero station.

April 26

Jose Garicia, 29, of Sherwood was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, fleeing, DWI, driving left of center, careless driving, no driver’s license, no seat belt and no proof of insurance after police observed the vehicle he was driving on Rixie Road just off of Landers Road traveling at a high rate of speed.

April 27

Jessica Wisenor, 21, of Little Rock was arrested on a charge of public intoxication after police conducted a drive-through at Tailgaters Bar and Grill at the request of another officer.

Miguel Mejua-Panjoj, 28, of Maumelle was arrested on charges of drinking in public and driving with a suspended license after police received a report of a possibly intoxicated driver on Indianhead Drive near the Phillips 66 gasoline station.
