Roger Clark of Ward said he thought the car in front of him driven by Kayla Miller of Cabot was pulling onto Landers Road but the driver stopped, resulting in Clark hitting the rear bumper of Miller’s car. Clark’s Freightliner Tractor sustained $500 of damage while Miller’s vehicle had $800 of damage.
Natasha Valley of Sherwood was driving northbound on Brookswood Road approaching the intersection with the Landers Flyover. Valley said her light was red so she applied her brakes and her Toyota slid on the wet pavement and struck a van operated by Timothy Getty of Mabelvale. Getty’s 1991 Stepvan sustained $200 of damage. Valley was found at fault for the accident for driving too fast for conditions.
James Lord Jr. of Jacksonville said he was moving his 2007 Ford truck to the right on Arkansas 107 near the Wal-Mart Supercenter when the passenger side of his vehicle came into contact with the parked 2012 Chevrolet truck of Michael Kent of Sherwood. Lord’s vehicle sustained $800 of damage while the parked vehicle had $100 of damage.
Jeri Hillman of North Little Rock said she was traveling northbound in the right lane just passed The Greens at North Hills on Arkansas 107 when another vehicle driven by Norman Shuffield of North Little Rock, without signaling, swerved into her lane, striking the left side of her car. Both vehicles sustained $400 of damage.
Jonda Pieper of Sherwood said she was reversing out of her parking space at the Dollar General Store, 9801 Highway 107, and did not see another vehicle behind her driven by Jermaine Powell of Sherwood. Powell said he was driving through the parking lot when the left rear side of his vehicle was struck, resulting in $1,200 of damage. Pieper’s vehicle had $800 of damage.
Leisa Mason, 52, of Sherwood was arrested on charges of assault on a family member (felony), disorderly conduct and possession of a controlled substance after police were dispatched to 27 Ridgewell Ave. in reference to a fight.
Lageorge Trotter, 26, of Sherwood was arrested on charges of public intoxication and criminal trespass. During the same incident, Steven Sherrell, 25, of North Little Rock was arrested on charges of public intoxication, criminal trespass, disorderly conduct, obstructing governmental operations and refusal to submit to arrest. The arrest came after police responded to the Waffle House Restaurant in reference to a verbal disturbance between Waffle House employees and a customer.
Crystal Kennedy, 20, of Jacksonville was arrested on a charge of shoplifting after police were dispatched to Kohl’s Department Store in reference to a shoplifting incident.
Jose Velasquez, 43, of Sherwood was arrested on a charge of domestic battery after police were dispatched to 3442 E. Kiehl Ave. in reference to a physical disturbance.
