Feb. 26

Shalaine Roberts of Sherwood said she was backing out of her driveway on Helen Drive when the left rear bumper of her vehicle collided with the right front side of a black utility trailer. Roberts said the trailer is usually parked across the street beside a home. Roberts said she did not see the trailer. Roberts’ Hyundai Santa Fe sustained $500 of damage while the trailer owned by Zane Womack of Sherwood sustained no damage.

Feb. 28

Jiboa Tucker, a supervisor for the Wildwood Avenue post office, said he received a call from Jennifer Patillio of North Little Rock who stated one of the mail trucks struck her parked 2007 Toyota 4 Runner on Indian Bay Drive. Mail Carrier Kelley Ramsey was backing the truck up and struck Patillo’s vehicle.

Brittany Wohner of Cabot told police she was driving westbound on Kiehl Avenue, looked back briefly at her children, and then saw a Kia van stopped in front of her. She applied her brakes but was unable to stop. Her 2011 Sienna and the Kia, owned by Joshua Hollis of Sherwood, sustained $500 of damage. Wohner was found at fault for the accident for following too close.

March 1

Dianna McCallie of Jacksonville said she was in her 2000 Toyota Tacoma truck with passenger Derrick Walker in the parking lot of Advanced Auto Parks on Kiehl Avenue. She started backing up and collided with a car behind her driven by Chelsey Caldwell of Sherwood. Caldwell’s Mitsubishi Eclipse sustained $300 of damage.

Shelby Thomas of Sherwood said she was entering the parking area of the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market on Arkansas 107 when she saw another vehicle driven by Sharon Phillips of Sherwood approach her. Thomas said she tried to apply her foot to the brakes but hit the accelerator instead.

Arrests

Feb. 26

Paul Jones, 49, of Sherwood was arrested on charges of second-degree criminal mischief and public intoxication after police were dispatched to her home at 1304 Kellogg Acres in reference to a disturbance.

Lance Metcalf, 24, of Ward and Natashai Bernard, 29, of Jacksonville were each arrested on three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia after saw that their vehicle was surpassing the speed limit on Hemphill Road.

Feb. 27

Mark Wells, 34, of Sherwood was arrested on charges of shoplifting and driving with a suspended license after police were called to the Dollar General Store on Arkansas 107 in Gravel Ridge in reference to a shoplifter.

March 1

Martin Albright, 25, of Sherwood was arrested on charges of DWI drugs, speeding and possession of a controlled substance with the purpose to deliver. The arrest resulted stopped his vehicle on Arkansas 107 near Midas Muffler because a brake light was not working.

Jeremy Wilson, 23, of North Little Rock was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended license, no proof of insurance, glaring lights, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia. The arrest came after police stopped his vehicle on Cordelia Street because it had lights which were glaring.

William Smith III, 23, of Sherwood and Aaron Vanderpool, 22, of El Paso were arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance and two counts of carrying a weapon with enhancement to certain facilities. The arrests came after police saw the vehicle they were operating on Lantrip make an abrupt turn without making a turn signal.

March 2

Ronnie Morgan, 55, of Sherwood was arrested on charges of DWI, violation of interlock device, DWI refusal and unlawful operation on a public road after police observed him driving on Arkansas 107 near the D.J. Hudson Street intersection without using the headlights at 2:42 a.m.

Mary Godsey, 60, of Sherwood was arrested on charges of DWI and improper turn after police observed the vehicle in front of them near the Brookswood flyover make an improper left turn.

Donna Jayrose, 54, of North Little Rock was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana after police received a call in reference to marijuana found in a customer’s vehicle at the Wal-Mart Automotive Center on Arkansas 107.

March 3

Jonathan Birmingham, 20, of North Little Rock was arrested on a charge of shoplifting after police responded to the Wal-Mart Supercenter on Arkansas 107 in reference to a shoplifter.
