Record cold, numbing wind, and it’s not even close to being over….

Central Arkansas this winter has been gripped with some of the coldest weather on record. But the cold and windy weather hasn’t kept some area residents from enjoying the outdoors. William Sparks of Sherwood was fishing at the the Sherwood City Hall fishing pond while entrepreneur Kevin Johnson remained faithful in letting drivers along Arkansas 107 between Sherwood and North Little Rock know some special deals they could buy. In recent times, besides the frigid 10-degree weather on some days, wind gusts have been strong enough to make the flags of some North Little Rock churches along John F. Kennedy Boulevard fly with their colors and designs clearly visible. Thus far, the winter of 2013-14 has been one to remember for the communities North of the River.
