Icy conditions lead to Sherwood accident

The Sherwood Fire and Police departments responded to a motor vehicle accident in the morning of March 5 on Highway 107 in front of Wal-Mart. The accident occurred when a car traveling south on 107 lost control on the icy bridge. According to Sherwood Fire Chief David Teague, that car crossed the turn lane and struck another car headed northbound in the driver side of the car. The force of the impact caused the northbound car to strike the bridge railing. The driver of one car had to be cut out of the vehicle. There were a total of three injuries. All passengers were transported by MEMS.
