Free Sherwood workshop will help local businesses build their own websites in 1 day

The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center will offer the free workshop “Website in Day” in Sherwood on Wednesday, Feb. 26, for local small business owners and their employees.

Co-sponsored by the Sherwood Chamber of Commerce, the event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break at noon and will be held at the Bill Harmon Recreation Center, 51 Shelby Road, Sherwood.

Approximately 97 percent of Internet users look online for local services – from restaurants to hardware stores – yet at least half of all small businesses don’t have websites.

“Website in a Day” will teach business owners how to build effective, easy-to-maintain websites with free online tools. The hands-on training will guide participants step-by-step through creating an attractive, functional, five-page website using ASBTDC-provided laptops.

The workshop is one of four free online marketing training events for entrepreneurs that ASBTDC is offering in Central Arkansas this year through a partnership with Connect Arkansas, a project of Arkansas Capital Corporation.

The North Little Rock Times, Sherwood Voice, Maumelle Monitor, and Jacksonville Patriot websites are available only to print and digital subscribers. If you are already a subscriber, you can access these websites at no additional charge.
