The Sherwood Young Professionals hostes the first-ever “Sherwoof Dog Day” last Saturday at the Sherwood Dog Park.
There were dog contests, photo booths, raffles, vendors, dogs available for adoption, free bottled water and dog bowls courtesy of First Arkansas Bank and Trust, and hot dogs for sale. Nearly $500 was raised for the Sherwood Animal Shelter’s efforts to purchase a mobile adoption unit.
Also, Mayor Virginia Hillman officially proclaimed the day, “Sherwoof Dog Day,” throughout the city. Due to the success of the event, Sherwoof Dog Day will more than likely become an annual event sponsored by the Sherwood Young Professionals.
