Chamber plans luncheon on Aug. 1; ribbon cutting on Aug. 7

The Sherwood Chamber of Commerce has set its next monthly luncheon for Thursday, Aug. 1, at The Greens at North Hills.

“Our program will be presented by Derek Scott, Chief Operating Officer, and Brad Montgomery, Director of Maintenance, with the Pulaski County Special School District. They’ll be providing information on the status of our school facilities in Sherwood,” said Marcia Cook, executive director of the chamber.

Lunch will be catered by one of its newest chamber members, Aramark, from the Little Rock Air Force Base. The buffet will open at 11:30 a.m. People planning to attend should RSVP no later than Tuesday, July 30, so that the chamber can prepare adequate food and seating and to get the price of $12.

The public is also invited to the grand opening and ribbon cutting of the Wall Allstate Agency on Wednesday, Aug. 7, at 11:30 a.m., which is located at 7600 Highway 107. There will be hot dogs and a drawing for a Kindle Fire.

“We’re glad to have Stephen and Kellie Wall in Sherwood and proud they’re new Sherwood Chamber members,” Cook said.
