Big Red raises money for Arkansas Children’s Hospital

Big Red Stores, owned by Summerwood Partners, LLC,which has a location in Sherwood, recently announced a donation of $47,809 to Arkansas Children’s Hospital, raised by selling cardstock throughout the month of March and collecting spare change throughout the year.

Since 2009, Big Red locations have raised more than $191,000 to benefit the patient care fund at the hospital. In this year’s promotion, 27 Big Red Convenience Stores and three Family Market Grocery Stores participated.

“Big Red Stores are amazing partners with us here at Arkansas Children’s Hospital,” said Justin DeLille, Director of Corporate Giving for the ACH Foundation. “For the last six years, Big Red and their customers have made a significant impact on the lives of children across the state and we are grateful.”

Paula Bruce, Supervisor with Big Red Stores, added, “As an organization, it’s important for us to give back to our community and Arkansas Children’s Hospital helps children and families in every community in the state. We are so grateful to our customers and employees for supporting this effort.”
