BJ Plants and Produce set to host first annual Pumpkin Fest on Saturday
After the blazing heat and drought experienced this past summer the BJ’s family invites all to come out on Saturday from 10 a.m.to 3 p.m. to celebrate the cooler weather and the arrival of Fall during Pumpkin Fest 2012.
The day’s events include: children’s activities tent, photo-booth, old-fashioned corn husk doll making demonstrations, free food and drinks, and more. The Pulaski County Master Gardeners will also be on site to answer any questions people might have.
“Our new location at the corner of North Hills Blvd. and Country Club here in Sherwood allows us the opportunity and space to participate in our community. The residents of this area have welcomed us with open arms and this free, open-to-the-public festival is just a small way we can show our appreciation.” stated DeDe Chapman, co-owner.
“We’ve been working hard putting together an urban pumpkin patch where families can make picking out a pumpkin or several pumpkins for that matter, more of a hands-on experience rather than just going to the store and getting whatever is available.” said Michael Gonia, co-owner. “We’re even going to give away one of our great pumpkins!”
