NORTH LITTLE ROCK TRACK | Cats keep it respectable at Russellville

The North Little Rock track teams put together some good performances last week at the Cyclone Relays in Russellville.

The Wildcats finished a respectable sixth in the loaded field, while the Lady Wildcats finished 12th, with Malica Monk again showing off in individual events.

For the boys, Anthony Louden had a pair of top five individual performances. Louden finished second in the 100m Dash and tied for fifth in the 400m Dash.

The Wildcats’ lone first place finish came in the 110m High Hurdles with a great performance from Martavius Strozier. Ed’Zemien Lyons also had a sixth place finish in the event for North Little Rock.

Deon Tidwell did well in the field events, finishing fifth in the Shot Put and seventh in the Discus.

The Wildcats also had two finish in the top ten in the 300m High Hurdles. Steven Babb finished fifth, while Lyons finished tenth. The Pole Vault saw James Wallace finished ninth, while Clayton Smith finished tenth.

Kaleb Jones had a sixth place finish in the 800m Run. The relay teams finished fifth in the 4x400 and eighth in the 4x800.

For the Lady Wildcats, Monk had another big day at the track. Monk finished first in both the High Jump and Long Jump. She took seventh in the 100m Dash and eighth in the Triple Jump.

The Lady Wildcat relay team finished tenth in the 4x400m race.
