Gosser, Tenpenny among those named All-State

North Little Rock had six players named to the Arkansas Activities Association All-State team that was released last week.

Leading the way was University of Alabama commit Altee Tenpenny, who was a running back for coach Brad Bolding.

The University of Arkansas under new coach Bret Bielema is also recruiting Tenpenny, who is considered to be the state’s top college recruit.

Also named to the team was linebacker Alex Gosser, who has signed to play baseball for the Razorbacks.

Free safety Gary Vines, who was recently named as the top defensive player in 7A/6A by hootens.com, is also among the half dozen Charging Wildcats on the team.

The others are offensive lineman Kaylon Daniels, linebacker Deonte Pearson and defensive tackle Javian Williams.

The city of Jacksonville was also well represented with a total of four players.

From Jacksonville were offensive lineman Carter Grandison, receiver Kevin Richardson and quarterback Aaron Smith.

North Pulaski had one player: linebacker Joe Zeigler.

Sylvan Hills had three players named to the team: running back Ashton Brown, linebacker Jaleel Henson and offensive lineman LouisLea.
