William Shrum

William “Doug” Shrum, 86, of North Little Rock passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014. He served in the United States Navy and loved bass fishing. He retired as a civilian from Camp Robinson National Guard.

He is survived by his son, Melvin Shrum (Virginia); three daughters, Cindy Golden (Tracy), Tina Berry (Bruce) and Tonya Ballew; special caregiver, niece Lynette Shelton; ex-daughter-in-law, Kay Shrum Heath; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and brother, Melbourne Ray Shrum. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon Elgin Shrum and Opal Smith Shrum.

It was Doug’s request to be cremated and no service will be held.
