Tonja Green

Tonja Gail Cobb Green, 75, of Sherwood passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014. She was born Sept. 30, 1938 in Panama City, Fla., to the late Kenneth W. and Kathleen Weaver Cobb. She was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church. She started as a medical secretary in Mobile, Ala., was a substitute teacher with the Pine Bluff School District, and

attended Gulf Park College in Gulfport, Miss. and LSU. Tonja was a loving mother, wife and grandmother. She volunteered at animal shelters and was very compassionate toward animals.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Donald Vance Green Sr., of Sherwood; sons, Donald Vance Green, Jr. (Beth) of Abilene, Texas, Randall Kenneth Green (Dawn) of Nashville, Tenn., and Brian Scott Green (Darla) of Maumelle; and six grandchildren, Stephen, Katie, Chase, Ava, Sydney and Logan.

Memorials may be made to Pulaski County Humane Society, 14600 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, Ark. 72210.

Visitation was held Saturday, April 12 at North Little Rock Funeral Home followed by a funeral service.
