James Patton

James G. (Jim) Patton, 83, of North Little Rock died Saturday, April 6, 2013. He was born in England, to Clint and Ruby Patton. He served in the U.S. Navy and had a long career of construction that he started with his dad as a teenager and he also enlisted his grandson into the electrical part of construction. He was Superintendent for Cherokee Construction for many years. After his retirement, he worked with the Arkansas National Guard at Camp Robinson as Chief Inspector, advisor, and consultant.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Amanda Patton; brother, Charles “Clint” Patton, Jr.; sisters, Pat Dodson and Betsy Patton.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Paula Berkemeyer Patton of North Little Rock; son, Jimmy Patton of North Little Rock; grandson, Jonathan, “Jon” Patton and wife Meghnn; granddaughter, Mishay Patton Harris and husband Gordon; great-grandchildren, Kaya, Aili and Gordon Harris III; brother, Graham Patton and wife Frances of North Little Rock and Bob Patton of Maumelle; sister, Rachel Beavers of Hot Springs; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends;

Mass of Christian burial was held Tuesday, April 9 at St. Anne Catholic Church. Burial was in Rest Hills Memorial Park.

The family requests memorials be made to St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 6150 Remount Rd., North Little Rock, AR, 72118 or “Ebonee House” A Prader – Willi Home, 2117 Aldersgatge Rd., Little Rock, AR, 72205.
