Aris Marre

Aris Marcille Williams Marre, 99, died Friday, April 26, 2013. She was born in Enola on Jan. 28, 1914, to Lysander and Artie Gore Williams. She graduated from North Little Rock High School, and worked for the US Department of Agriculture in Washington, D.C. and Little Rock. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of North Little Rock, a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star Florence Chapter NLR, and a member of the Elk’s Ladies Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John B. Marre, Jr.; brothers, John Arnold Williams and Sanner Arvil Williams; and sisters, Ardell Taylor and Arlis “Honey” Mozart.

Survivors include nieces, Jennifer Ranney of Exeter, Calif., Deidra Vance of Visalia, Calif., and Dolores Robertson of Melbourne; nephew, Virgil Williams of Corinth, Miss.; and many great nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 18 at North Little Rock Funeral Home, a Smith Family Funeral Home.
