Amanda Garbacz

Amanda Christiane Garbacz, 24, of North Little Rock died Saturday, May 11, 2013.

She graduated from North Little Rock High School and continued on to receive her Civil Engineering degree at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She was an engineer with Patterson Engineering in Texarkana, Texas. She was a member of Chi Epsilon, The National Society of Professional Engineers, and The American Society of Civil Engineers. She was dedicated and member of Park Hill Christian Church.

Survivors include her fiancé, Danny Hernandez of Texarkana, Texas; daughter, Lillian Amanda Hernandez; parents, Matt and Suzanne Garbacz; sister, Alana Garbacz of North Little Rock; grandparents, Christiane and Ben Thomas of Jacksonville; Dr. Christopher and Marilyn Garbacz of Flora, Miss.; great-grandfather, Robert Stroud of North Little Rock; aunts and uncles, Cindy Goddard, Jeff Garbacz, Susanna and Nathan Ivy-Garbacz, Miranda Garbacz; and a host of many family members and friends.

A celebration of life was held Saturday, May 18 at Park Hill Christian Church. Burial was in Rest Hills Memorial Park.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the Amanda Garbacz Civil Engineering Memorial Scholarship Fund at the U of A Fayetteville, 4190 Bell Engineering Center, Fayetteville, Arkansas 72701, ATTN: Dr. Hall.
