Aggravated robberies

Jan. 4

Michael Moreno, 36, told police nothing was taken from him when he was assaulted by an unknown person with the help of a handgun at 5198 Pike Ave.

Jan. 5

August Putillo, 63, told police he was assaulted when he was robbed when someone stole $40 in cash while he was at 600 E. 2nd St.

Jan. 6

Richard Butler, 57, told police he was assaulted by someone he doesn’t know at 600 W. M Ave. where he had his wallet taken, $200 in cash, a $100 gold chain and two $50 silver rings. His wallet contained documents with his personal information.

Jan. 7

An unidentified person came into Savers, 4135 John F. Kennedy Blvd., where he stole $10 in cash.

Pamela Belcher, 19, told police a 29-year old man she does not know robbed her at 4709 E. Broadway St. Belcher had $20 in cash stolen from her.

Jan. 10

Clarence Rice, 56, and Shakendria Seldon, 22, told police someone used a handgun to steal their Lincoln Town Car at their home 909 E. 13th St. At the scene police found a bullet and seven nine millimeter shell casings.

Burglaries

Jan. 4

Dwight Thompson, 4518 Marion St., said $100 of damage was done to his glass window and $150 to the window frame when someone broke into his house and stole a $400 flat screen television, $375 men’s wedding ring, $125 gold ring, three $125 watches, a $200 women’s gold necklace, a $600 HP laptop and a $90 Visual Land tablet.

Allen Ford, 1500 Crutcher Road, told police someone broke into his home and stole a $600 12-gauge shotgun with pistol grip and a $100 Apple iPhone.

Derrick Smith, 2002 W. Short St., said $100 of damage was done to his southeast room door when someone broke in and stole two $100 pair of Air Jordan shoes, $100 pair of U.S. Air Force shoes, $250 32-inch flat screen television and a $75 Sony Playstation 3 with controllers.

Ora Haire, 2502 E. 2nd St., said $100 of damage was done to her door frame when someone broke in and stole $300 of cash.

Jan. 5

Emerald Garrett, 3609 N. Gum St., said $20 of damage was done to his window when someone broke in and stole a $200 Sony Playstation 3.

Jan. 6

OK Food Mart, 5524 Fairfax Road, reported someone broke a plate glass window and stole a $300 safe and $4,000 in cash. Police captured the incident on a security camera.

Gregory Hampton, 912 W. 51st St., said $200 of damage was done to his living room window when someone broke in and stole a $1,600 60-inch Sony flat screen television, $900 42-inch Toshiba flat screen television, $1,000 50-inch LG flat screen television, $1,400 HP Touchscreen computer, $900 Sony laptop computer, $980 handgun, two $130 digital cameras and two $300 Sony digital recorders.

Jan. 7

Centennial Bank, 3811 MacArthur Drive, reported $500 of damage was done to one of its windows when someone broke in. The bank is currently conducting an inventory of stolen property.

Jan. 8

Katrina Coleman, 5608 Ridgewood St., said a knife was used when someone broke into her home and caused $75 worth of damage to her window and screen. Nothing was reported stolen.

Marie McDowell, 95 Prospect Trail, said $200 of damage was done to her door when someone broke in and stole a $2,000 engagement ring and $1,500 wedding band.

James Baker, 130 Sunset Drive, said $100 of damage was done to his door frame when someone broke in and stole a $100 jewelry box, which contained about $6,000 worth of jewelry.

Yolanda Sargent, 10809 Paul Eells Drive, told police someone broke into her home and stole an $89 pair of wedding rings, $50 in coins and a $150 wedding ring.

Irene Smith, 2021 W. Long 17th St., said $100 of damage was done to her door and frame when they broke in and stole a $400 flat screen television.

Jan. 9

Antowne Neely, 5208 Marion St., said $200 of damage was done to his window and screen when someone broke into his home. Nothing was reported stolen.

Shonna Carpenter, 5204 Marion St., said someone broke into her home and stole $60 in cash, $50 in pills, a $250 tennis bracelet and a $500 laptop.

Tonda Bullock, 6915 Ponderosa Drive, told police $100 worth of damage was done to her door frame when someone broke in and stole a $900 flat screen television, $700 Ruger firearm, seven gold watches worth $800, $100 DVR, two $100 speakers, 10 pieces of jewelry worth $250, a $25 safe box and a $20 checkbook.

Helen Smith, 3319 N. Sycamore St., said $100 of damage was done to her door frame when someone broke into her home and stole a $325 29-inch flat screen television.

Jan. 10

Matthew Harrington, 5212 N. Walnut St., said someone broke into his home and stole a $250 iPod, $20 wallet and other documents with his personal information.

Kevin Reddick, 1208 W. 4th St., said someone broke into his home and stole a $300 32-inch flat screen television.

Robin Steves, 2101 Middleton St., said someone broke into her home and stole a $700 iPad, $300 iPhone and five sets of house keys.

Erica Hune, 725 Poe St., said $100 of damage was done to her door frame when someone broke in and stole two Comcast cable boxes, $70 DVD player, and $135 weed eater.
