North Little Rock Code cases

Here are rulings in code enforcements cases brought to the North Little Rock District Court before Judge Randall Morely on Aug. 16:

— The case against Noor B. Ali where the defendant has been charged with engaging in business without a license will be brought back to the court for review on Feb. 7, 2013.

— The case against Jackie Bain where the defendant has been charged with unlawful disposal of sewage waste will be brought back to court for review on Feb. 7, 2013.

— Prosecutors decided not to prosecute Steven Patrick Blackwell who has been charged with engaging in business without a license.

— Sentencing is set for Sept. 20 in the case against James Charles Brocks who has been charged with a property maintenance violation.

— A hearing has been set for Sept. 20 in the case against April Cannon who has been charged with a public nuisance violation and engaging in business without a license.

— The case against Joe Carden has been moved to come back to court on Sept. 20. He has been charged with engaging in business without a license.

— The case against Georgianna Clay has been set for review on Feb. 7, 2013. She has been charged with inoperable abandoned vehicle.

— A $1,500 bench warrant has been issued for the arrest of Allen Clemons who failed to appear in court to face a charge of broken seal and/or open container.

— Dayone Redel Ervin failed to appear in court and had his driver’s license suspended. The defendant is charged with engaging in business without a license.

— The case against Jimmy Brewer was reset for court on Oct. 18. He is charged with construction without a permit.

— Brent H. Ferguson will return to court on Sept. 20 for a bench trial on charges of failure to cut grass, public nuisance violation, garbage schedule and disposing of waste without a permit.

— A bench warrant has been issued for the arrest of Bobby Dean Fewell because he failed to appear in court on charges of failure to cut grass, public nuisance violation, property maintenance violation and disposing of waste on outside premises. A $5,000 surety bond has been set in the case.

— A hearing has been set for Sept. 20 in the case against Zena Henson who has been charged with failure to cut grass and public nuisance violation.

— A bench trail has been set for Oct. 18 in the case against Nilda R. Johnson who has been charged with failure to cut grass, public nuisance violation, garbage schedule and depositing of waste on outside of premises.

— A bench trial has been set for Sept. 20 in the case against Joshua Dan Jones who has been charged with three counts of inoperable/abandoned vehicle and one count of public nuisance violation.

— A hearing has been set for Oct. 18 in the case against Darwin L. Williams who has been charged with public nuisance violation, property maintenance violation.

— The case against Timothy Wilson will be reviewed again on Feb. 7, 2013, who has been charged with engaging in business without a license.

North Little Rock animal cases

— Two fines of $545 were levied against Sherry Theresa Benevides who was convicted of two counts of keeping of fowl in the front yard during a bench trial. The payments are due on Nov. 2. The defendant has 30 days to appeal the decision.

— Nathan Kent Bridges is to appear in court on Sept. 13 to face six charges of license and vaccinations violations. He also is charged with litter/breeding violations and number limited violations. He was ordered to spay the animals or pay a fine.

— A $250 fine was suspended in a case against John D. Collins who was charged with license and vaccination violations. The case is to be reviewed on Feb. 7, 2013.

— Albert D. Snider failed to appear in court and had his driver’s license suspended where he has been charged with litter/breeder violations and two counts of license and vaccination violations.

— Deborah Burns was ordered to spay her animals or pay a fine. A hearing has been set for Sept. 13. She has been charged with five counts of license and vaccination violations and one count of limited number violation.

— Bryant Curruth failed to appear in court and had his driver’s license suspended. He has been charged with dog confinement and license and vaccination violations.
