Fugitive arrested in NLR

North Little Rock police were part of a unified search last week for a parolee and fugitive, who was subsequently arrested in North Little Rock.

Tony Perry was arrested at about 8:15 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, by special agents of the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division and U.S. Marshalls at 1216 Franks St., according to a press release from the State Police.

No one living at the North Little Rock address where Perry was arrested is suspected of aiding Perry evade arrest.

Throughout the last week, State Police arrested five people suspected of aiding Perry with information or transportation while he was hiding from law enforcement officers.

Those arrested were: Argie Jackson, 47, charged with hindering apprehension; Wendell Meeks, 46, hindering apprehension; Keith Thomas, 30, parole violation; Jonathan Smith, 28, outstanding warrant for hot checks; and Jamikka Perry, 30, also wanted on hot check warrants.

Little Rock police also assisted in the search.
