Fear on Fourth Street continues through October to help NLRPD’s athletic league

Fear on Fourth Street sponsored by the North Little Rock Police Athletic League has opened.

The hours for this fundraising event will be Oct. 26- 27, and Oct. 29- 30 from 7-11 p.m. On Halloween night, which is Oct. 31, the haunted house will be open from 7 p.m. until the last victim leaves.

Admission will be $8.00 per person.

If you are interested in dressing up in a Halloween costume and volunteering on any of these nights, please show up at 4th and Poplar two hours before the event is set to begin and we will find you a spot and a costume.

In 2012, PAL had over 400 players sign up to play baseball, over 200 signed up to play football, over 70 for cheerleading, 30 for tennis, and over 50 children participated in our Taekwondo program —- all free of charge.

From various tournaments during the year, PAL reaches over 10,000 people in our parks, including players and their families, competitors from other schools, and visitors and their families.

PAL provides its players with the uniforms and equipment they need to play and the league maintains the 11 ball fields at three of North Little Rock parks, including mowing and field prep. PAL has spent over $30,000 in player equipment and programs this year and $15,000 in insurance and other expenses.

PAL relies on donations, some concession stand sales, but mainly on its yearly Halloween fundraising event. For anyone who wants to help PAL and its activities, spreading the word about the Fear on Fourth Street is greatly appreciated by organizers.
