Arrest made in North Little Rock shooting

On Oct. 10, at approximately 6:15 p.m.. North Little Rock police officers responded to 701 W 18th Street (Silver City Courts) in regards to a shooting. Officers arrived at the location and located a black male lying in the complex with several gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The North Little Rock Investigations Division responded to the scene.. The Investigations Division has interviewed several witness’ in relation to this incident. The name of the victim in the incident is not being released pending notification of family.

The North Little Rock Police Department has arrested Antawn Kemp, 22, for his involvement in this incident. Kemp admitted post-Miranda to being in a verbal altercation with the victim. Kemp stated that he fired multiple times at the victim. Kemp was charged with Murder 1st and Possession of Firearms by Certain Person and was transported to the Pulaski County Regional Intake Center with No Bond.

This investigation is still ongoing more information regarding this incident will be released as it becomes available.
