The North Little Rock Airport Family Fun is set for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
According to Clay Rogers, North Little Rock Airport Director, there will be hamburgers, hot dogs, custom built planes, an antique car show and formation flying.
“These are just some of the attractions,” said Rogers.
Rogers said this public event would give people a chance to learn more about their hometown airport.
“One of the best kept secrets in North Little Rock will open its doors to the public,” Rogers said. “The local airport is home to several amateur and professional pilots who are eager to show off their aviation skills and some of their unique, custom built aircraft.”
The North Little Rock Airport is at 8200 Remount Road.
“This is a rare opportunity for kids and adults who have never touched a plane to get up close and personal,” he said.
In addition, another event planned is the “Black Jack Run” where several pilots will draw a card from their airport of origin, fly in to North Little Rock, and finish the rest of their black jack hand here for prizes, according to Rogers.
