NLR fire engulfs home

Firefighters from the North Little Rock and MacAlmont fire departments reported to a structure fire on Monday at 922 Spradlin Cove, North Little Rock, at 5:47 p.m.

According to Pulaski County Sheriff Deputy Paul McIntosh, the residence was fully inflamed once officers arrived at the scene.

“I spoke with the tenant, Marcus Williams,” said McIntosh. “Williams stated he arrived home and observed his residence on fire.”

Williams stated he checked on his wife, Serena Williams, and his children who were at 910 Spradlin Cove, and returned to the residence with a water hose in an attempt to extinguish the fire.

“Williams stated he does not know how the fire started and also stated the residence is a total loss,” McIntosh said.

At that time, firefighters arrived on scene and extinguished the fire.

McIntosh said the then talked with property owner Jimmy Graham.

McIntosh said, “Graham stated the claim will be filed on his insurance, which could not be provided at the time of incident, and will be a total loss.”

MEMS also responded to the scene but there were no injuries to report.

At this time, the estimated loss is approximately $45,000including material items located inside the residence.
