The CareLink Board of Directors announced on April 17 that 11-year CareLink veteran Luke Mattingly of North Little Rock has been selected as President and CEO of the organization that serves six counties in central Arkansas as the Area Agency on Aging.
“Luke was the board’s choice because of his knowledge of CareLink, his demonstrated leadership skills and his passion for our mission,” said Board Chair Bob McCormack of Conway. “He is committed to ensuring that homebound older people, family caregivers and active older people get the services they need to thrive.”
Mattingly, 51, has been Chief Operating Officer at CareLink since 2008 and was Vice President, Home Care and Human Resources, from 2003-2007. He previously served as Director of Administration and Human Resources at Tokusen USA, Inc. and Director of Human Resources at Aermotor Pumps, Inc., both in Conway. Mattingly served his country as a captain in the U.S. Air Force.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and Political Science from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and graduated from Kennedy-Western University with a Master of Science in Human Resource Management.
“Boomers are beginning to use the resources we provide,” said Mattingly. “We have to be prepared for a substantial increase in the need for services that CareLink delivers like Meals on Wheels, Medicare counseling and respite care as this generation ages. I’m delighted to lead a group of dedicated employees who will continue to efficiently and effectively serve older Arkansans.”
Mattingly is a member of the North Little Rock Riverside Rotary. He has been a member of the Executive Committee of the Goodwill Industries of Arkansas Board of Directors, and he served for many years on the Faulkner County Council on Developmental Disabilities.
Effective May 23, Mattingly will succeed Elaine Eubank of Little Rock who has served as President and CEO of CareLink for 22 years. She resigned to accept another nonprofit leadership position.
