Jennifer Leigh Bush and John Theron Elkins exchanged wedding vows Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013 at the Degray Lake Resort State Lodge with Steve Patterson officiating.
The bride, given in marriage by her mother, wore a Maggie Sottero Browyn style gown of lace with cap sleeves and a satin sash and an elbow-length veil trimmed in lace and small sparkle beads. She carried a bouquet of light pink roses.
Trena Corkern, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Tiffany Nutt and Tizzie Stewart, sister of the groom. Isabelle Elkins, daughter of the groom, was the flower girl.
John S. Elkins, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Dallas Heltz and Kevin Lemley. Augustus Stewart, the groom’s nephew, served as ringbearer. Guests were seated by Matt Stewart, brother-in-law of the groom and Tony Columbus, cousin of the bride.
Music was provided by violinist, Brian Cooper.
The bride is the granddaughter of Sandra Monaco of North Little Rock. She is a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas and and a 2011 graduate of the William H. Bowen School of Law. She is currently employed by the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration.
The prospective groom is the son of John S. and Lisa Elkins of Arkadelphia. He is a graduate of Henderson State University and a 2006 graduate of the William H. Bowen School of Law. He is currently employed by the Arkansas Public Service Commission.
The couple will make their home in North Little Rock.
