Wild River prepares for season

March 20 was the first day of spring. This means increasing daylight, warming temperatures and rebirth. One place rebirth can be seen at is Wild River Country Water Park, 6820 Crystal Hill Road, North Little Rock.

Crews started working last week making major changes to the park. The park’s new owner, Aquapark Holdings LLC, has committed a $1 million to renovating various onsite amenities. These include an ADA bridge near the wave pool; resurfacing and refurbishing all the slides a new color; new landscaping; and the addition of new services and family fun events to improve the customer’s experience. The park is also making improvements on the food and beverage services.

Complementing the property upgrades is a newly redesigned website and a new mascot. The public can also participate in naming the park’s new bear mascot by visiting the Wild River Country Facebook Fan Page. Each person who enters the “Name the Mascot” contest is automatically entered into a drawing to win a family four pack for one day admission. The winning entry will win four 2013 Season Passes.
