The fall session of Scottish Country Dance lessons will begin on Monday, Sept. 8, and end Nov. 24.
The cost for the 12-week session is $60 (or $20 for students 18 and under) but beginners are encouraged to try the first class at no charge.
Classes meet at 7 p.m. on Mondays at Park Hill Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, 3520 JFK Blvd in North Little Rock.
Participants will learn basic formations and footwork for dancing traditional and modern Scottish reels, jigs and strathspeys which form the basis of Scottish ballroom dance. No partner or previous dance experience necessary.
Casual attire, soft sole shoes required.
The Arkansas Scottish Country Dance Society is a non-profit organization established in 1985 by individuals interested in helping to foster traditional Scottish country dancing and music.
