Central Arkansas’ premier comedy company, The Main Thing, is hosting “A Fertle Holiday” every Friday and Saturday through Jan. 11 at The Joint Theatre in downtown North Little Rock’s historic Argenta Arts District.

This original two-act comedy chronicles the Fertle Family’s trouble ridden reunion in the tiny town of Dumpster, Arkansas, as they attempt to entertain their rich relatives from San Diego. The Main Thing comedy trio brings the quirky family to life by portraying all the relatives and townspeople needed to create the illusion of a big, bustling Christmas get-together.

“A Fertle Holiday” opened on Nov. 22, and run through Jan. 11, with performances every Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. Food, desserts, cocktails, wines, craft beers, specialty coffees, and soft drinks are available throughout the show.

Admission is $20, and reservations are recommended. Advance tickets may be purchased online at www.TheJointArgenta.com, by calling the theatre box office at 501-372-0205, or at The Joint’s cabaret theatre located at 301 Main Street in North Little Rock.

The Main Thing – a national award-winning, world-class comedy team – is Central Arkansas’ very own professional resident company. This three-member act stars veteran performers whose work has been featured on “Saturday Night Live,” Off-Broadway, on MTV and in thousands of live stage performances across the country. The trio operated for years in Houston, Texas, under the name Radio Music Theatre. Their most popular comedy series, starring the fictional Fertle Family, spawned fourteen DVDs, leading to numerous appearances in film, on stage and on television. For more information, visit
