Fit 4 Life Week will be held from Oct. 28 to Nov. 1 in the North Little Rock School District to provide information on positive behaviors and activities and to give students information to help deal with real world stresses.
During the week, schools will have activities that teach and encourage positive behaviors. Speakers from the community will speak in classes at each secondary campus in the District.Fun and educational activities will be available for students to participate in during the week.
Monday, Oct. 28: NLR Schools will celebrate Impact your World Day. The focus will be on Recycling, A Clean environment, Participation in community activities, tolerance for other’s beliefs and way of life and kindness to your fellow man.
Tuesday, Oct 29: NLR Schools will celebrate - A Fit Body. The focus will be on exercise, nutrition, no use of tobacco, or illegal substances for a healthy body.
Wednesday, Oct 30: NLR Schools will celebrate – A Safe School. Focus on tolerance, bulling prevention, no school violence. Mix It Up Day will be held on this date in the school cafeterias. The emphasis is on meeting new people and exposure to other social groups to increase acceptance and tolerance. NLRTV will make a music video featuring North Little Rock students.
Thursday, Oct. 31: NLR students celebrate – A Fit Mind. Focus is on suicide prevention, dealing with stress, substance abuse prevention information and where to seek help when needed.
Friday, Nov. 1: NLR Student’s posters stating the change they want to see and be for their family, school, neighborhood, country and/or world, will be displayed on the fence surrounding the football game at NLR Stadium: The Last Wild Ride.This will be the last home football game played in the current NLR Stadium.
