Lakewood United Methodist Church, 1922 Topf Road, North Little Rock: The church invites everyone to join us for one of three Easter Services on Sunday, April 20.
First, at 6:30 a.m. in the Lakewood Village pavilion, it’s the North Little Rock Community Easter Sunrise Service, a smaller, quieter, and more intimate alternative to the larger service across the river. Then, at our regular times of 9 and 11 a.m., we’ll celebrate Easter with special music and wonderful services at our church. If you only go to church once a year, this is the day and you are warmly invited to worship with us.
On Thursday, April 17 there will be a Maundy Thursday communion service at 7 p.m. in the Sanctuary as we commemorate the last supper, when Jesus gave us the command to love one another as much as He loves us.
On Good (God’s) Friday, April 18, we’ll have a Tenebrae “Service of Shadows” in our Sanctuary at 7 p.m. It is a moving service in which the lights are extinguished one by one as we remember the crucifixion of Christ.
And on Holy Saturday, April 19, it’s our Children’s Easter Celebration and Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. Bring those kids, find some eggs, and take some pictures.

North Little Rock First United Methodist Church, 6701 John F. Kennedy Blvd.,: There will be a Maundy Thursday Seder Meal at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 17 in the church fellowship hall. The Seder Meal commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus and will involve most of the readings of the Passover with Christian interpretations. Tickets are available in our church office, but are limited.
A Tenebrae service will be the focus on Good Friday. This special service will feature seven presenters reading the seven final words Jesus spoke from the cross with a reflection offered after each. Hymns and anthems from the choir and congregation will be interspersed in-between. The Tenebrae service will take place April 18, also at 6:30 pm, in the church Sanctuary.
Easter Sunday will be a glorious day to celebrate our Risen Savior in both services on Sunday, April 20. Come and hear a special message from Pastor Davis Thompson and music fit for the King featuring handbells, piano, organ, brass and the Chancel Choir at 11 a.m.

Park Hill Presbyterian Church, 3520 JFK Blvd., North Little Rock: At 6 p.m. on Maundy Thursday, April 17, a service will be held in the church’s fellowship hall that will begin with a light meal around tables, followed by the celebration of the Lord’s Supper. The meal will be provided, simple in harmony with the mood of the evening. The service will conclude with readings and prayers leading toward Good Friday.
Lilies will adorn the sanctuary and alleluias raised to the heavens at the church’s Easter celebration at 11:00 a.m. service on Sunday, April 20. Special music by the church’s chancel and hand bell choirs, directed by Ann Cother and Grant Meacham, plus a brass choir, will highlight the service. The sacrament of Holy Communion will also be celebrated. A special offering for hunger and disaster relief will be received.
