North Little Rock

Gardner Memorial United Methodist Church, 1723 Schaer, North Little Rock: The gardener quilters meets at 8:30 a.m. every first Tuesday and Thursday of the month.

The Wednesday night program held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, will be “Caroline’s Favorites,” presented by Caroline Riggs. The Ozark Water Project will be May 22, presented by Karla Allen and singing on May 29.

The widower’s cafe will be held at noon, Tuesday, May 14, in the fellowship hall.

Graves Memorial Baptist Church, 4617 Oak Grove Road, North Little Rock: The ladies bible study is held at 5:30 p.m., with food and study begins at 6 p.m., each Monday night. The study being: “A Woman of Faith: Living in Jesus.”

There will be a ladies breakfast Wednesday, May 15. The church will celebrate Mother’s Day this Sunday.

The ladies scrapbook class will meet at noon at the church.

The GMBC fellowship meal and business meeting will be at 6 p.m., Sunday, May 19, with a potluck meal and meeting to follow.

The neighborhood crime watch cookout/fundraiser will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 21, in the parking lot of Marley’s Pizza. Come enjoy a hamburger, hot dog and a drink.

The church will celebrate the end of the school year with a “School Bash,” from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 22, with games, food and fun.

Lakewood United Methodist Church, 1922 Topf Road, North Little Rock: Friday night movie night will be at 7 p.m., featuring “War Eagle,” which was produced by Vince Insalaco, filmed in Arkansas and won over 20 awards. Your invited to this free movie with popcorn in the Faith Trax theater.

Azusa Pacific University’s Choir and Orchestra will perform at 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 14, in the Wesley Hall. Admission is free. The group has appeared on two NBC Christmas specials, performed three sold-out concerts at the Hollywood Bowl, and has a Grammy nomination.

Several orphan care ministries are uniting forces for “The Walk for the Waiting,” on Saturday, May 18 to help raise money and awareness of these children without homes. There will be a meeting at 10 a.m., Sunday, May 19, to discuss a Costa Rica mission trip with guest speaker from Rice and Beans ministries in the Gibson Hall.

All kids ages three through sixth grade are invited to Vacation Bible School from 9 - 11:45 a.m., Monday, July 15-18. The theme is “Everywhere Fun Fair: Where God’s World Comes Together.” Please register before Friday, May 31 if possible. Just go to the church website.

Applied Light Coffeehouse Worship Community, Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m. in Gibson Hall: Join us for a mid-week worship experience that is informal and inspiring. Each week we feature a guest musician and enjoy a time of fellowship and coffee and then we share the application for the week. In April we’re going to explore Storytelling and in May the theme is “Every Day is Special.” Did you know that May 8 is “No Socks Day”? Join us for a new kind of Sabbath.

Park Hill Presbyterian Church, 3520 JFK Blvd., North Little Rock: A celebration of the Christian family will be the focus of the 11:00 a.m. worship service this Sunday, May 12, at Park Hill Presbyterian Church.
