Lakewood United Methodist Church, 1922 Topf Road, North Little Rock: The church elementary kids will be traveling back through time to Athens, Greece beginning Sunday, April 7 for “Paul’s Dangerous Journey.” They will explore marketplace shops, take part in games, sample tasty treats and even have a visit from Paul himself. Come join in the fun.

The church is recycling for Earth Day from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Sunday, April 21 in the church parking lot. Bring your TVs, PCs, microwaves, etc. and keep them out of the landfills.

A new Women’s Bible Study Class, based on the New York Times best-selling “One Thousand Gifts” by Ann Voskamp, begins Wednesday, April 24 at 9:30 am and meets weekly until May 22. The class meets in the the Faith TraX Theater, childcare is provided, and the cost of the workbooks is $11 at the first session.

Applied Light Coffeehouse Worship Community, Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m. in Gibson Hall: Join us for a mid-week worship experience that is informal and inspiring. Each week we feature a guest musician and enjoy a time of fellowship and coffee and then we share the application for the week. In April we’re going to explore Storytelling and in May the theme is “Every Day is Special”. Did you know that May 8 is “No Socks Day”? Join us for a new kind of Sabbath.

The church will be taking a trip to the Holy Land that will depart Little Rock Tuesday, Oct. 8, with Pastor Steven Tiner. This will be a 10-day trip to Jerusalem, the Sea of Galilee, the Mount of Beatitudes, Qumran, Jericho, Bethlehem, the Mount of Olives and much more. An optional seven-day extension to Egypt will have you traveling as Abraham did to Memphis and on to Sakkara to see the Step Pyramid, the world’s oldest stone structure. Levy Church of Christ, 5124 Camp Robinson Road, North Little Rock: Carl Parchman has started a new Sunday School class for young adults up to the age of 40.

The 5th annual community day will be from 1-3 p.m., Saturday, April 20. Sign-ups are now open and are in the lobbies and classrooms the more volunteers will be great as the church is expecting 600+ attendees. There will be games, rides, food, greet visitors for all ages and skills. Babysitting will be provided for volunteers.

Sherwood

The Christian Jubilee Conference will be in Branson April 15-17. The cost is $185 per person double occupancy and $25o for single. The bus will leave BCBC at 9:30 a.m., Monday and will leave Branson after the morning session Wednesday. You will be responsible for lunch and dinner during those days.
