Celebrate National Volunteer Week by donating blood in April

Volunteers are the backbone of the American Red Cross. Every year, more than four million volunteers donate about 6.5 million pints of blood through the Red Cross to help save lives. This April, celebrate National Volunteer Week, April 21-27, by donating blood.

In the hour it takes to give blood, donors can help save the lives of up to three patients. The American Red Cross asks people to make a difference; be a Red Cross blood donor. The following are upcoming blood donation opportunities in the area:

North Little Rock

April 16 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at American Red Cross Blood Center, 4548 JFK Blvd. in North Little Rock.

April 19 from 12-5 p.m. at American Red Cross Blood Center, 4548 JFK Blvd. in North Little Rock.

April 23 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at American Red Cross Blood Center, 4548 JFK Blvd. in North Little Rock.

April 26 from 12-5 p.m. at American Red Cross Blood Center, 4548 JFK Blvd. in North Little Rock.

April 30 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at American Red Cross Blood Center, 4548 JFK Blvd. in North Little Rock.
