Phi Theta Kappa has induction ceremony

Pulaski Technical College had an induction ceremony for Phi Theta Kappa on May 3.

A total of 116 were inducted and students from the area were:

Jacksonville

They are: Holly Armstrong, Christine Belcher, Tekellee Dunlap, Paula Duplantis-Jackson, Lisa Fields, Martina Gaston, Dionicio Jemmott, Rikki Ratliff, Twanda Rollins, Alisha Smith and Jennifer Willis.

Sherwood

They are: Theodoros Athanasiou, Kyle Cothran, David Curry, Richard Davis, Jr., Marvenia Hernandez, Holly Huckeba, Maisie Miles, Cheryl Roberts, Lynn Shoemaker, Jennifer Smith, Mickey Taylor and Joseph Walker.

North Little Rock

They are: Shelby Borst, Charity Buchanan, Sydney Butler, Gina Davis, Benjamin Duck, Janecia Elliott, Zane Gorman, Gwendolyn Hood-Thomas, Tina Jones, Amanda Martin, Vanessa Molden, Tobi Nipp, Katrina Rayner, Stephanie Sides, Jennifer Stafford, and Tianyuan Yao.

Membership in Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year colleges, is by invitation only.

Each spring and fall, students who have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.5 and have taken 18 credit hours toward an associate degree receive a letter of invitation.

Phi Theta Kappa is the largest honor society in American higher education with more than two million members and over 1,270 chapters located in all 50 states in America along with territories, Canada, Germany, British Virgin Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Republic of Palau and the United Arab Emirates.
