The 10-year-old Maumelle Bulldogs won the 2012 USSSA 10AA Arkansas State Baseball Tournament in Conway last month and advanced to the World Series in Broken Arrow, Okla., this week. The Bulldogs came out of pool play as the No. 4 seed in the 26-team tournament with a 2-0 record after defeating Rogers MBA (11-5) and Ray Rogers Timber Company (6-4). In the single elimination bracket format, the Bulldogs defeated the Arkansas Travelers (11-3), Deuces Wild (6-5) and Arkansas Stealth (10-8) for a trip to the Championship game against the Arkansas Reds. After trailing 7-0 after two innings, the Bulldogs rallied to score 7 runs in the bottom of the second and another 7 in the bottom of the third en route to a 15-7 victory.
